Telescopic tipping and hook loading – fast and powerful geometry

One of Metsjö’s greatest technical advantages is the telescopic hook loading system where telescopic tipping and loading cylinders work against each other.

Hydraulic rear safety support beam for safer hook loading

During hook loading of heavy containers, large forces occur between the tractor and trailer. Metsjö therefore uses a hydraulic rear safety support beam that can be lowered towards the ground during container exchange.

The system:

Reduces negative force on the tractor

Improves stability

Increases operational safety during container handling

Metsjö recommends keeping the safety support beam approximately 10 cm above the ground during the hook loading operation so the trailer can continue rolling. When the container reaches the rollers, the wheels compress and the support beam reaches the ground when the negative force is at its highest.
