It all started in the late fifties when two brothers on the outskirts of Linköping, Sweden, decided to manufacture a trailer for their farm. The results far exceeded expectations. Since then, high-quality and innovative trailers and hook lifters have been rolling out from the factory in Metsjö. Appreciated by so many for their high capacity, market-leading stability and low fuel consumption.

Today, production is thriving as never before, but with a new generation in charge. In 1984, Metsjö launched the revolutionary idea to start building trailers from scratch with hydraulic suspension. An innovation that was soon copied by many competitors — making it the industry standard still to this day.

Equipped with a modern machine park, we have the capacity to utilize high-strength materials in our production process. This provides us with products that will last for generations — but also the ability to eliminate waste of natural resources. As a result, we have been recognized as an environmentally certified company by the Swedish Environmental Base. We are also certified according to ISO 3834-2 and SS EN 1090-1. Furthermore, our welding is performed by qualified operators, using qualified welding procedures, and we have possibility for full component traceability in our production.
