ISOBUS – Full Control with Intelligent LS Hydraulics

Metsjö’s tractor-drawn hooklifts and trailers can be equipped with an ISOBUS-based control system that gives the driver complete control over all functions – directly via the tractor's existing ISOBUS display and AUX joystick or buttons. By centralizing control, hydraulics, and functions into a single system, ISOBUS simplifies both connection and daily use while increasing precision and efficiency.

Simple connection – fewer hoses, faster startup

Thanks to Metsjö's electro-hydraulic solution, only two connections are required:

• LS connection (Load Sensing)

• ISOBUS cable

Compared to traditional hydraulic couplings, this means faster and cleaner coupling, less risk of incorrect connections, and shorter setup times between tasks.

Up to 50% higher hydraulic flow

The combination of ISOBUS, LS, and electro-hydraulics provides up to 50% higher hydraulic flow to the trailer compared to conventional solutions. The result is:

• Faster and smoother movements

• More efficient tipping and switching of containers

• Better response even during complex maneuvers

Proportional steering for maximum precision

All functions are controlled proportionally via joystick or buttons, providing:

• Exact and controlled tipping

• Smooth and safe container switching

• Predictable and harmonious movements

This reduces wear on the equipment and lessens the physical strain on the operator.

Flexible solution – even without ISOBUS in the tractor

If the tractor lacks built-in ISOBUS control, the system can be supplemented with an external ISOBUS screen and joystick, providing the same functionality and user-friendliness.

Radio control as a supplement to ISOBUS

For situations where certain tasks need to be controlled from outside the tractor, the ISOBUS system can be supplemented with radio control without losing any functionality in the cab. Two options are available:

1. Basic radio solution Enables control of:

• Tipping and switching of containers

• Telescopic tower adjustment

• Hydraulic outlet for the tailgate (Without proportionality in the radio)

2. Advanced radio control with proportionality A complete radio unit providing:

• Proportional control of functions

• High precision and smooth movements

• Maximum flexibility when working outside the tractor

Possible options and smart functions

The ISOBUS platform opens up a wide range of additional functions that can be adapted to your business needs, such as:

• Approximate weight measurement with history

• Monitoring of hydraulic pressure and load

• Automatic chassis elevation to driving position and position control

• Automatic lowering of the tipping function

• Automatic lowering of the rear hydraulic safety bumper to the recommended height

Most optional functions for the hooklift can be integrated directly into the ISOBUS system.
