Metsjö launches new stone trailer for windrowers with adjustable axle spacing – designed for potato cultivation

Ivarssons in Metsjö presents, in cooperation with Swedish Agro, a brand-new stone trailer developed for the efficient collection of stones from windrowers used in potato cultivation and similar crops. The new model is designed with a focus on flexibility, durability, and adaptability to different types of machinery.

One of the most notable innovations is the adjustable axle spacing, which allows the trailer to be easily adapted to different ridge widths. This gives farmers greater freedom and efficiency regardless of the cultivation system or machinery used.

To meet the specific requirements of potato farming, the trailer is equipped with large wheels and high ground clearance, ensuring optimal mobility in the field. It features a sloped bed design with a duck-tail shape that gathers stones into easily manageable piles. The robust construction also includes Hardox steel in the bed for extra wear resistance and long service life, as well as a high tipping angle that ensures fast and efficient unloading.

“We see a growing need for flexible and durable solutions within potato and vegetable production. With this trailer, we can offer our customers a product that both streamlines the work and withstands the tough conditions associated with stone handling,” says Anders Ivarsson at Metsjö.

The new stone trailer will be available in spring 2026 and can be adapted to the customer’s specific needs.
The volume is 8.5 m³ and the payload is 11 tonnes.
