Metsjö launches new heavy dumper trailer – high payload, low tare weight and hydraulic suspension

Ivarssons i Metsjö AB introduces a new dump trailer for tractors. The new model, MetaQ51, combines a high payload capacity with low tare weight and hydraulic suspension – delivering improved transport efficiency, excellent driving comfort and long service life under demanding conditions.

 

The new dump trailer is based on a further developed design where several technical solutions are now being implemented across Metsjö’s dumper trailer range. The same design and engineering principles will be introduced in additional models in the product line in the future.

New body design for improved function and durability

 

The trailer features a completely new body design developed for optimal material handling and longer service life. The front section is reinforced and shaped to allow material to discharge more easily during tipping, while also protecting exposed structural areas.

 

The interior of the body is completely smooth, without ledges where material can accumulate. The upper edge is reinforced with an outward-folded top rail that helps ensure more controlled loading.

 

The wide and open interior design also makes it easier to load machinery into the trailer. At the same time, the height-adjustable chassis lowers the centre of gravity and improves stability both during loading and transport.

 

Hydraulic suspension provides superior ride comfort

 

One of the most notable technical features is the hydraulic suspension system.

 

The system is based on technology used in Metsjö’s larger Hook lift trailers and has been used for many years with excellent results in real-world operation.

 

Combined with laser-aligned axles, this provides improved weight distribution, increased stability and higher driving comfort. Tests have also shown fuel savings of between 22 and 28 percent compared with trailers equipped with simpler suspension systems.

 

Flexible design for multiple applications

 

The chassis height can be adjusted by up to 35 cm, allowing the trailer to be adapted to different hitch heights and working conditions. The design also makes it possible to switch between different body types depending on the application, such as for grass, bales, grain or machinery transport.

 

 

 

Built for heavy-duty operation

 

The MetaQ51 is constructed using Hardox 450, with an 8 mm floor plate and 6 mm side and front plates, providing high wear resistance and long service life.

 

With a volume of 10.2 m³ and a low tare weight of only 3,850 kg, the trailer offers a payload capacity of 16,150 kg.
